My task was to develop a line of innovative services with streaming media products. It included consumer media sites for television and other multimedia content in the Baltic countries, as well as streaming media services to other web portals (Delfi.lv, Apollo.lv and others) to complement their content. Other B2B offerings included audiovisual media monitoring, mobile broadcasting, video advertising and customer video portal development, maintenance and support, as well as organizing live video transmissions over the Internet, the major one of which was the Eurovision Song Contest worldwide.
I also won the bid and implemented an internal video broadcasting system for the State Chancellery of the Republic of Latvia. This job was challenging by having to develop an innovative service line in yet an underdeveloped Internet environment. It centered around building various partnerships for content and technologies: TV companies, telecommunication companies, mobile operators, event organizers, producers and distributors, news agencies and portals.
