Social Media Marketing Program Manager

Innovated and strengthened global marketing team of the Tyco Security Products(TSP) strategic business unit of Tyco. TSP is a master brand of eleven separate product brands, each with varying and extensive product lines, sub brands, and regional sales strategies, with $1 Billion in annual gross revenue. Awarded first true social media marketing position at Tyco(then over 120K employees) as a result of proactive efforts to learn, compose, and administer a social media strategy.

  • Started, maintained, managed content calendar, helped write and edit content for two industry blogs using HubSpot software-after evaluating various other 3rd party solutions.
  • Wrote column on social media for internal newsletter and trained colleagues on purpose and use of social media.
  • Responsible for seven corporate Twitter Handles using Hootsuite to manage five of them, eleven YouTube Channels, five LinkedIn Pages, four LinkedIn Groups, and four Facebook Pages contributing to 50K+ in community membership.
  • Established and maintained twelve shared email accounts for creating and managing the social media properties. ▫ Authored and scheduled social media posts; ensured all social media properties use consistent brand voice and imagery.

Led graphic designers, web developers, and marketing specialists from the front line. From January 2007, performed all duties while working remotely. Redesigned three brand websites with integration of external permission-based website common to all; project shifted scope to consider nine brand websites and hub creation.

  • Evaluated websites and solicited voice of customer(internal & external) to establish similar interface and design; helped define new product taxonomies; wrote requirement docs; project lead and liaison; re-engineered permissions-based architecture; developed auto-registration; evaluated prototypes; managed content; tracked tasks and issues.
  • Creative lead from inception through completion on launch kits, eMarketing, trade show collateral, and UI imagery.
  • Managed in-house and external CD duplication; through innovation and competitive bidding, exceeded goal by 15% with first year savings of $28K.
  • Saved Virtual Product Demo interactive CD project by redesigning visual content and scripts; reworked user interface supporting subsequent VPDs.

Using Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, assisted in the design and production of brand new 120 page product guide and five product family brochures. Teamed with copywriters, marketing managers, engineers, and sales to produce content. Worked on additional product guides and other various marketing materials like graphics for trade shows, including attendee badges, booth graphics, PPT templates, LH, CD labels, binder graphics, eFlyers, and shirts.

  • Saved $60K in first year by soliciting additional vendor quotes, adjusting paper stock, and producing flawless files.
  • Wrote ROI for in-house photography, purchased EQ, developed workflow and training, saving tens of thousands annually.
  • Created and maintained department's image library for in-house & stock photography; also maintained our contribution to divisional and Tyco International image and logo libraries ensuring consistency and increasing efficiency.

Trained on Heidelberg's Delta workflow and PrintOpen color management; ensured color accuracy throughout the business and consulted clients. Designed marketing materials for our clients and in-house marketing efforts. Troubleshoot and revised files for press as desktop operator. Created complex die-line, varnish, and bump plates using Quark, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Trained in customer service and managed projects for ad agencies, freelance designers, and corporations. The deadline intense industry honed my attention to detail, proactive manner, and ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals. Apprenticed drum scanning, color and image editing, desktop publishing, graphic design, and prepress. In two years promoted to Prepress and Color Manager in charge of four FTE's on two shifts. Established prepress inventory controls and reorder points which lowered departmental expenses by 15%. In July 2002 Phoenix was sold and relocated.
