I am seeking an opportunity in general construction as a general supervisor. I am willing to move to a new job location or state. In addition, I am willing to apply my skills in new ways such as maintenance supervisor, store manager or sales/product representative.


I am a seasoned construction worker and general supervisor seeking a position that will leverage my skills and experience as a carpenter, painter, electrician and HVAC. I have both formal education and over 20 years of on the job experience. I have worked on residential to industrial/commercial job sites. I have helped buildg private homes as well as multimillion-dollar commercial projects. In addition, I have also worked on government sites such as Newport Chemical Depot.  Now I am taking design and AutoCAD classes to advance my skills in layout, design and takeoff. I pride myself in quality work, strong work ethic and ability to lead a variety of trades and personalities.

I have risen through the ranks over these last 20 years.  I have moved from a technician to a general supervisor.  I have been a general supervisor for a contractor in Terre Haute, Indiana for the past several years.  I am capable of working by myself or with others. I am dependable, hard working, a person that loves his job and enjoy doing what I do. I take pride in my work, and know I will be an asset to any company.

CDi is a general construction company located in Terre Haute, In.  I have worked for CDi since 2004 as a general/carpenter foreman. I have worked a mix of jobs from residential to industrial/commercial. I have built houses and multimillion dollar commercial and government projects such as Newport Chemical Depot.

My responsibilities include providing labor, managing projects and teams, transit and level operation, layout of job sites from ground work to interior layout, material handling, and scheduling.

Union Carpenter

As a union carpenter, I worked residential to commercial/industrial jobs. I worked as a journeyman before becoming a foreman. I was a foreman for over 6 years. I remodeled homes with storm damage, rebuilt garages and built homes from the foundation to completion. I worked on commercial projects such as power generating stations, peaker plants to chemical depot on a government site.

I have extensive work experience with drawings and design engineering along with the general contractor and their client to lay out a project. I also know how to use a transit and level through schooling and experience.

I have earned my type 1 and 2 refrigeration certifications.  I worked on residential and small commercial service and installation of air conditioning units. I worked on systems such as Carrier, American Standard, Lenox, and other general brands. I worked on the installation of cooling lines, duct work, and electrical installation. I also performed general service on heating and cooling units, both electric and fuel (fuel oils, propane, natural gas).

I worked in service and installed electrical projects in a factory. It was here that I began to learn the skills of reading a blueprint, installing conduit and terminating wiring.  I worked installing wiring anywhere from 3/0 and 4/0 entrance cable to household 10/3 and 12/3. I worked bending and installing conventional to explosion proof conduit and elccrical boxes. Working and terminating electrical and electronic controls for equiptment and motors.

Blueprint, Layout and AutoCad
This is an on going skill I continue to use in all of my work.  I am upgrading this skill by taking Layout and AutoCAD as a continuing education program at Ivy Tech.
I attended Ivy Tech for HVAC I was an employee at Sears, as well as other residential contractors.  I have a type 1 and type 2 refrigeration license, I have experience on working on heat pumps, and air conditioning units as well as fuel oil, propane, and natural gas furnaces.  I have installed and also serviced units ranging from Carrier, Lenox, American Standard and other general brands. I have also installed duct work.
I worked as an electrician at a factory, installing 3-0 and 4-0 to 10-3 to 12-3 wiring.  I also installed conduit and explosion proof equipment. I terminated electrical and electronic controls.
I was employed as a maintenance painter, worked painting various items from walls to equipment.
General Supervisor
I have been the general supervisor for major projects that include commercial and government.  I have  the skills to supervise other trades as well as my own and manage the time and resources for completeing the job in a timely matter. I have the skills of site payroll and the management of materials to meet the budget.
I am skilled and proficient as a carpenter having completed the carpenters apprenticeship program in 2002.  I have learned skills from the apprenticeship program and applied them as a journeyman and on the job experience. I have learned time management along with productivity.   I have knowledge in concrete work from beginning to end. I have framed sidewalks, footings, foundations, slabs, basement walls and  interior and exterior walls.  I have done roofing systems such as hip and valley including metal roofing systems. I have worked on concrete pours ranging from 1 yard up to 600 yards. Both setting concrete forms, whether being Symons Forms or conventional plywood forms, and pouring slabs, footers, or walls. I have done the layout and framing of walls, insulation of exterior and interior walls, bathroom partitions, countertops, bathroom accessories (mirrors, paper holders, handicap bars), installation of windows, interior trim, exterior siding, doors and door hardware, facia and soffit, drywall installation, scaffolding, layout and installation of wood or concrete constructed stairs and steps, VCT flooring, laminate flooring, and some wood flooring.

Carpenter Apprentiship

I completed this education program and went on to become a journeyman and since have become a foreman. Joining the apprenticeship taught me the skills to become a journeyman carpenter. I learned  to do concrete, framing, doors and door hardware, drywall, and transit/level. Also, learned the math skills to become a superintendent. I learned and achieved the skills to become a superintendent of a job site.
