Christina Starr

I am a December 2011 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I earned my bachelor's degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations.I am fascinated with the way people communicate and interact with one another, and thoroghly enjoy finding new ways to explore and utilize that communication.I am looking for a job in the public relations or communications field that will challenge and inspire me.I have worked to gain experience in my field in every way possible, through writing for The Penn, IUP's student-run newspaper; working for the IUP communications department; interning at Humility of Mary Health Partners, the Mahoning Valley's largest health care employer; contributing to a weekly blog, PR at Sunrise, and taking a social media internship with SnapRetail in Pittsburgh.

Throughout my last semester at IUP, I worked with the Indiana Borough to build communications internally and throughout the community.

I enjoy meeting and working with new people and making networking opportunities in every situation.

I am an excellent co-worker, and demonstrate a professional and positive attitude while on the job.
