Summary

I am an educator with 12+ years of experience in the classroom.  For the past 8 years, I have been learning how to apply technology in the classroom and provide professional development training for teachers and in 2014, successfully completed my Masters in Educational Technology.  

In addition to teaching 8th grade general science, I am currently the Technology Liaison at Donald E Gavit Middle/High School, charged with providing professional development learning for the staff as well as managing the building's Google Apps for Education program.  I am also studying to obtain my certification as a Google Educator and Trainer.

Technology Liaison

Extra duty position within the district.  Act as liaison between district technology department, building administration and building media specialist.  Works closely with Tech department e learning coach to provide staff development in Google Apps for Education (GAFE) products and coordinating technology professional development conducted by e learning coach or building instructional coach.  

Responsible for conducting general GAFE training in building.  Leader of building Tech Team, and assist with various technology related training duties.

Technology Liaison Duties

  • Provide formal and informal Google Apps for Education (GAFE) technology training to building staff
  • Maintain Student Google Account Records
