Event Publishing is an independent trade media company, publisher of Event Solutions magazine and, and host of a national event industry conference and tradeshow in Las Vegas.

  • Developed company’s annual strategic marketing plans: Established revenue goals, planned public relations outreach, created strategies for circulation growth and audience engagement, developed social media usage, and initiated brand analysis, testing and development.
  • Managed $75,000 annual marketing and PR budget for all Event Publishing’s products.
  • Planned and instituted public relations program, generating placements on “Deco Drive” program in Miami and achieving national television exposure on Lifetime TV’s program, “Get Married,” seen by 350,000 people and rebroadcast online for 21,000 additional impressions. Conference coverage in early  2009 by Las Vegas’ KLAS CBS-8 used company as unique positive example in down economy.
  • Managed all external communications during transition to new ownership, preparing key messages and serving as spokesperson.
  • Member of 10-person conference management team, responsible for pre-show outreach and registration, onsite signage and sponsorship recognition, media relations and daily coverage.
  • Organized and launched social media outreach using various tools like Facebook and Twitter, successfully building buzz for registration promotions, on-site events and contests. Gained valuable audience feedback, multiplied exposure to new potential clients and lead travel industry's Keep America Meeting outreach.
  • Project management: Led editorial and creative team in complete magazine redesign and major revitalization of annual industry forecast, including  data collection, analysis, and final product production and distribution.
