HGBU Consulting Business Analyst (June 2015 - Present)
Involved in the Operational Integration for EMEA & JAPAC regions for Micros Professional Services LOB with activities such as delivering training sessions & knowledge transfer, transitioning from Micros procedures to Oracle procedures and creating new business workflows using business analysis tools and techniques.
As part of the Global Business Practices organization my role involves advising and guiding the Sales Organization within Hospitality Global Business Unit (HGBU) throughout the whole bid workflow in order to ensure Oracle Policies and Best Practices are followed and applied consistently.
I have designed, built and implemented a Global Audit Process for the HGBU organization which is being currently being run on a quarterly basis. The results are being presented to Global Business Unit VP level stakeholders in order to provide transparency on the business processes, to demonstrate compliance and provide process improvement strategies for the PMO and Sales force. This project involves mining large data sets from the Oracle Business Intelligence App in order to generate in depth analysis and reports on several key metrics.
My responsibilities also include:
> analyze, review and approve Consulting related Budgetary Estimates, RFPs, RFIs
> conducting extensive business analysis on financial metrics and risk factors for all HGBU sales opportunities in the EMEA & JAPAC;
> communicating and enforcing Oracle Business Practices to different stakeholders throughout the organization;
> monitoring key business processes and providing actual commercial approvals for deals once they are fully compliant;
> approving/rejecting non-billable hour requests, work at risk & bill rate scenarios for ongoing installation/implementation/configuration projects;
> mapping, designing, documenting and implementing new business processes
EMEA Deal Management - Deal Specialist ( January 2011 - June 2015)
Deal Specialist’s role is to act as a partner for Oracle Sales force, in a multicultural environment, by creating high quality contract documentation, in a timely manner, necessary for closing the deals between Oracle and its customers.
Drafting, processing and booking contracts documentation for products and services while ensuring compliance with Oracle guidelines and policies as well as meeting client’s expectation, covering the EMEA Region. Reviewing Terms & Conditions in Master Agreements, Ordering Documents and Amendments in order to provide business perspective and clean solutions to the sales force.
Validation Process – assisting Sales with the entire booking package process (ordering document, exhibits, agreement and purchasing documentations, signatures on all relevant documents, as well as various other contract related functions) while ensuring each transaction is done according to Oracle’s internal policies.
Applying current business practices, pricing policies while interacting with several Oracle departments to provide the highest level of support to sales and help Oracle mitigate risk (e.g. Legal, Risk Management, Revenue Recognition, Credit & Collection).
Built important business relationships with key stakeholders within EMEA as well as Oracle Romania, including sales managers, operations, legal, global risk management and delivery.
Drafted over 1.600 contracts for Northern EMEA countries with an average quality of 97,01% calculated over the last 3,5 years using Global KPI Interactive Dashboard.
Worked on strategically important deals worth over £1 million for clients like Fujitsu, HP, Nokia, British Sky Broadcasting, British Telecommunications, Amdocs, KPN, RBS, Reuters.
Received positive feedback from a VP level while handling all complex, strategic and managed deals for the UKII area.
Part of “EMEA Wins and Success Stories” on 3 different occasions for deals managed by me, for which I received positive feedback up to M5 level.
Other projects within Oracle:
One of the oldest members of the Bootcamp Training Team for new-hires. Delivering “Change Management” & “Lead your Customer” each being a 2 day live training session designed for groups of 14 people, as part of being a member of the Virtual Trainers Team (reporting to our SSC EMEA Deal Management - Training Coordinator)
Graduated the “Crème de la Crème” leadership program, after being selected as one of only 8 people from the whole of the Services + License Departments to be eligible.
Successfully beta-tested 3 Oracle Global Applications (DELTA Repository, Global Service Portal, ePACT) with testing scenarios, feedback & improvements, review calls, reporting etc.
Project manager for rebuilding and redesigning our Oracle Romania Corporate Social Responsibility Site, for which I received an award -> Leadership in Society Award for Romania.
Constantly acting as Project Leader in volunteering projects like “Children’s Green Spring”, “Santa’s helpers”, “The Cat Room” as well as leading the project named “Baking like a boss” which has since become a yearly tradition for the whole of Oracle Romania; in 2014 for our 3rd edition we managed to raise over 11.000 RON (£1.800) for NGOs that help orphans, sick & disadvantaged children; in 2015 our 4th edition has raised well over 15.000 RON.
