Joined ANZ’s Bangalore captive center at its nascent stage with a total employee strength ~900 employees and have played key role over the last eight years in transforming the center into a strategic asset to the Bank with ~6000 employees. During this tenure, worked across all business functions of Bangalore Hub – Back Office, Global Shared Services and Technology.

Key roles and the size of the businesses supported:

üSr. HR Business Partner, Technology (2008 – till date). Enabled the business to grow from ~1000 to ~3000 staff (~50% of the current Bangalore head count)

üSr. HR Business Partner, Global Shared Services (2010 – 11), managed ~ 800 employees, alongside the Technology business with ~2000 staff

üHead of HR, Operations (2006 – 2008), enabled the business to grow from a mere ~70 staff to 1400+ in a 26 month period across 3 disparate business streams

üHR Lead – Org Effectiveness (2009 – ongoing), an additional role played along with Business Partner role with Hub-wide accountability to steer Organisation Development initiatives

Key achievements and business outcomes;

·Business HR role with a seat at multiple leadership tables – Technology Business as well as Hubs’ and Global HR Leadership teams

·Successfully landed 2-year long Technology Transformation agenda (business benefits of multi-million AUD across 5 years). Enabled transformation of Bangalore Technology Hub from Delivery Shop to an Engineering Hub, by shaping and influencing business strategy and people processes. During the process, delivered

oSenior Leadership build-out/revamp while managing smooth leadership transition,

oInnovative “Buy, Build & Partner” strategy to enable massive lateral hiring effort (~750 lateral hires), and

oRebadging ~500 roles in Testing function globally and moving staff onto vendor’s rolls

·Created the Engagement and Communication strategy to meld the ‘old’ and ‘new’ capabilities resulting in enhanced employee engagement scores year-on-year (78% in 2013 from 64% in 2008)

·In the role of HR Lead – Org Effectiveness, key deliverables were:

oDesigning and executing year-long leadership development program to the 90+ senior leaders of the Bangalore Hub –to enhance leadership quotient across all the business units

oThought leadership in creating Career Path framework implemented across multiple hubs (Philippines and China). The initiative enables employees to build global careers

oRedefined and implemented employee connect framework across all business units of Bangalore hub, ensuring open and transparent two-way conversation between employees and leadership layers. This framework is being adopted in other Hub locations as well

oCurrently designing Employee Value Proposition framework for multi-hub roll out

·Conceptualised Talent Pipeline Review framework for Global Shared Services business to ‘bubble up’ leaders / high potential staff across all layers

·Start-up role for the new hub in Philippines. Crafted and implemented first draft of HR Strategy – covering people policies, total rewards mechanism, recruitment, learning and payroll. This supported ANZ’s aspiration of being a Super Regional Bank and enhance its foot print in Asia
