Craig William Taylor is an accomplished professional in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Data Systems Engineer with Genentech, Inc., in Vacaville, California. Craig Taylor joined Genentech in October 2005. With more than 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, Craig Taylor holds extensive experience in many aspects of plant information (PI) system administration, Oracle system administration, PI client tools, and multiple programming languages. His diverse contributions to Genentech include developing an automated data-collection system for the Cell Culture Lab, maintaining department software, and leading the Data Technical Team in various projects. Prior to joining Genentech, Craig Taylor served as Plant Information Administrator for the California Independent System Operator (ISO) from September 2001 to October 2005. The ISO regulates the flow of high-voltage electricity across the system of power lines in California. In his position with the California ISO, Mr. Taylor notably contributed to the development of metrics required to analyze generator performance. He also presented papers at numerous conferences, addressing audiences of hundreds of people. Earlier in his career, Craig Taylor gained extensive technical experience serving as a Systems Application Engineer for Roberts Technical Services in Pleasant Hill, California. Educated at the University of California, Davis, Craig Taylor received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration there. He is highly engaged in his profession, and he maintains affiliations with organizations such as the American Chemical Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and IBC Life Sciences. In his personal life, Craig William Taylor supports charitable organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, the Arthritis Foundation, the Christmas Wish Program, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He stays active through running and resistance training, and his hobbies include building furniture and home landscaping.
