With integrity, distinction, and accountability, Craig began his career as a sales associate with Zellers and progressed his way up. In 1989, Craig's leadership potential was quickly recognized and he was rapidly promoted through the ranks to store manager. Leading his very first store, Craig was awarded the coveted Walter P. Zellers Award in 1992 for outstanding performance. This would be the first of many awards Craig would receive.

Craig led stores in Sherwood Park, Kingsway, Lloydminster, and Swift Current before being elevated in 1997 to district operations manager. In 2002, he became district manager, overseeing 12 business units. During this period, Craig added to his impressive list of awards two additional Walter P. Zellers awards - one in 1995 as store manager another in 2004 as district manager. Topping this, Craig and his team were recognized again as number one for increasing sales three years running beginning in 2005. This extraordinary succession of impressive recognitions culminated in his achievement of the Presidents Excellence award as district manager in 2006.

As an inspiring and influential leader, Craig's ability to lead is second only to his innate ability to connect with those around him, and empower them to seek the excellence he seeks in himself. Focused on his employees' personal growth, Craig's team nominated him top leader within the organization and he was awarded by an outside agency for producing higher quality results through employee engagement initiatives.

Married with two teen-aged daughters, Craig has found the time to write and publish a book on one of his favourite topics - leadership.
