Tesco Bank | Customer Documentation Review (CDR) (Nov 2015 - Mar 2017)

  • Managed and delivered the data-analytic elements of  the credit cards NOSIA (Notice of Sum in Arrears) remediation project to ensure account enforcability, arrears reprofiling, accurate remediation, and re-papering for all unenforceable cards accounts
  • Scoped, built, tuned, and maintained a remediation calculation system in SAS (compromising 34 programs and >40k lines of code) and trained three other consultants to use it
  • Entailed detailed financial provision reconciliation work and development of a robust, documented CDR system compliant with Deloitte audit standards
  • Financial remediation activities involved phased releases involving devising, coding, testing, and executing 18 file interface steps per release across 8 different business areas within and outwith the Bank
  • Received excellent 360 degree client feedback and highest performance rating across all 5 areas in 2016 performance review

  • Upgraded the Bank's FSCS Single Customer View (SCV) reporting process (deposit accounts) to ensure compliance with 2015 regulatory framework

Shell Global | Planning One 2015 Stabilization Project

  • Delivered reserves system process improvements across 11 countries in four continents (4-month workflow, 17 customized economic models, >300 assets). Changes resulted in process simplification, global process consolidation, and system speed improvements worth an estimated $650k value added
  • For each country, liaised daily with planning heads, reservoir engineers, senior economists, reserves system programmers and Palantir consultants to scope, agree and implement all key project phases of the workflow (scoping, design, UAT, and implementation)

Stranding & Revenue Analyst

  • Created the BGSM stranding charge estimation model from first principles. Managed stranding model analysis and monthly financial workflows for its initial 1.5yrs of operation
  • Worked extensively with BGSM's finance team as well as internal and PwC auditors to build strong business resilience into the £37M stranding accrual management process
  • Interacted monthly with Meter Asset Providers (MacQuarie and Meterfit) to enable billing relationships, discuss contractual performance, and resolve dispute areas around MAP revenue and stranding obligations
  • Progressed various ad-hoc and routine analysis initiatives to mitigate and resolve high stranding charge liabilities: no-fault-found investigations, industry data reconciliation exercises (e.g between National Grid, MAP, and Industry Flows data), asset returns lifecycle analyses, and extensive SAP metering data interrogation work
  • Re-engineered the warehouse logistics workflow to enhance data capture enabling enhanced insight through accurate monitoring of asset movements
  • Achieved ‘Exceeding Expectations’ performance rating from Strategic Partnerships team for 2012 and 2013
