The projects I worked on:

• IT/building security review to introduce desktop management, and security based

policies and procedures, web based filtering, GPS based vehicle tracking, time and

attendance.

  • Design, planning and implementation of a project to consolidate two Document Imaging Systems saving an annual estimated £20K in support costs.

  • Successful delivery of a Hardware/Software Asset Tracking system using the existing software Desktop Authority and Oracle APEX to reduce implementation cost and to minimise time when completing audits.

  • Implementation of structured change control procedures incorporating CAB meetings and KPI Reporting to monitor changes.

  • Planned, managed and completed the system upgrades to the WebTrends and Northgate Payroll systems.

Leading a team responsible for 2nd Line support taking up to 800 calls per month. Project management and delivery of technical projects with hardware and software solutions. Systems Administration and 3rd line support of the Barclays/BACSESSIP Banking, Northgate Payroll and Cognos Consolidator / Impromptu , Business Objects Advisor Financial Reporting and WebTrends Systems.

  • Successfully managed, implemented and promoted a PC Energy Saving project which reduced annual operating costs by an estimated £27k.

  • Increased own productivity by implementing a hands-on training programme my team for the ACTICALL and EDI systems to speed up call response times by approximately 50% and reduce development support by 80%.

  • On being offered the position for Change Process Manager, I recommended that one of my team members be my replacement.

  • On the acquisition of a new Swedish company I completed an audit of their systems, applications and network for inclusion on the Financial Fixed Asset Register and the Group DR plan.

Management of the IT department and leading a team supporting 100 users on-site and 100 off-site/overseas taking up to 200 calls per month. Management of the Upgrade Project/Programme for the central Payroll, Banking and Financial Reporting applications and servers. Systems Administration and 3rd line support of the Barclays/BACSESSIP Banking, Northgate Payroll and Cognos Consolidator / Impromptu and Business Objects Advisor Financial Reporting Systems and desktop PCs. Management of the supplier relationships for IT procurement and support contracts. Financial management of the £100K IT budget. Management and Implementation of the Disaster Recovery Plan.

  • Personally selected by the CEO - John Caudwell and CFO – Craig Bennett as part of the £1.46bn Caudwell Group sale in 2006 to scope and deliver two projects for a Windows Small Business Server 2003 office, network and server installation at their new locations.

  • Responsible for project management and delivery of the head office server room and equipment relocation to new premises as part of the £1.46bn Caudwell Group sale in 2006.

  • Increased own productivity by implementing a hands-on training programme for new IT employees for the ACTICALL and EDI system to ensure they were capable of supporting the business..

  • Successful delivery of a Hardware/Software Asset Tracking system using Dos/KIX scripts and Microsoft Access with procedures to reduce implementation cost and to minimise time when completing audits.

  • Successful management of a BACS implementation programme of the BACSESSIP software two months before the deadline across 5 company sites to allow the continued processing of Direct Debits and payments after the switch-over.

  • Project management, installation and configuration of an £80K server infrastructure for head office consisting of an Exchange Server, 2 MS SQL Servers, 3 Windows 2003 Domain Controllers, 3 Citrix Servers, 4 Application Servers and 3 File/Print Server and 80 new desktops roll-out from windows 95.

  • Project management, installation and configuration of an existing 100 user Windows NT Domain to an Active Directory.

  • Successful project management of the German Sage Line 500 ERP system EURO upgrade across all business areas two months before the 1 January 2002 EURO deadline.
