Joined the group as one of four Project / Development Managers, responsible for amongst other things the following:

  • The Appointment and Management of the full team of Development Professionals
  • The Scrutinizing and compilation of development designs and feasibilities compiled by the PQS.
  • Presenting the feasibilities to the board for approval.
  • Management of both the professional team and contractors, from their appointment and Inception of the development through to the design phase, ultimately to the execution and completion of the project.
  • The management of the town planning process, so as to ensure all the required development rights and zonings are in place for the successful implementation of the development. Including liasing with the relevant local and national government authorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulations including National Building Regulations, SANS 10400 regulations, Local Council regulations and Occupation Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Financial Management of the development including the development of monthly cost reports and detailing the financial position of the development. 
  • Managing the development scope and reporting on the financial implications which any variances from the original scope will have on the final viability or ROI.
  • Managing the Contractor in accordance with JBCC Principle Building Agreement.
  • Also responsible for the Management of any major redevelopments, extensions, maintenance work or upgrades to any of the assets in the fund.
