Reporting to the Director of Airport Purchasing and Supply Chain, managed the procurement of passenger, baggage and aircraft handling services; and facility maintenance, security and janitorial services for the Western Region and Hawaiian islands. Position required ongoing collaboration with Corporate Legal, Risk Management and Finance to ensure compliance with new company policies and procedures. In addition to the handling of day-to-day responsibilities, worked on numerous special projects to integrate the supplier base of the newly merged airline.

  • Co-managed consolidation of cargo warehousing and transportation suppliers at 190 locations around the globe in support of the business unit's post-merger harmonization of services.
  • Lead post-merger negotiations with two largest suppliers in the U.S. and Europe, netting over $8M in annual concessions and securing commitments for more than $5M in capital improvements to facilitate future growth.
