Courtney Hamar

As a field marketing representative, my primary markets were Oklahoma City, Stillwater and Ardmore.  I traveled to other areas of the state as needed. My job duties were to establish, build and maintain relationships with EagleMed customers. I met with hospitals, EMS agencies, fire departments, law enforcement agencies and first responders to ensure their needs were being met by EagleMed. I worked closely with the EagleMed medical crews and pilots to coordinate education for customers. I also worked with customers when an aircraft was requested at a community event. 

As the public relations and development coordinator, I assisted in implementing the agency marketing plan, gave presentations, worked outreach booths, handled media relations for the agency, assisted in planning the five annual fundraising events, managed social media accounts, managed two websites, coordinated a monthly networking event, solicited in-kind donations, wrote and distributed press releases, wrote a monthly external newsletter and any other jobs that fit into the capacity of the position.

I worked with other entertainment crew members to facilitate contests, promotions and activities between innings of the baseball game. I also worked as an entertainment host during the skits and contests.

I worked with reporters, editors, producers, new media employees and assignment editors to gain career experience and knowledge about the newsroom. 

I worked closely with the head of public relations and the event planner at the YWCA Oklahoma City. I helped plan the biggest fundraising event of the year for the YWCA, Purple Sash. I experienced working in public relations for a non-profit organization. 

I was a reporter for The Daily O'Collegian and covered covered the Residential Life beat. I also worked as a copy editor.
