Currently a last year Marketing and Management undergraduate at the University of Sussex, pursuing a graduate scheme at a leading marketing company to gain valuable work experience in a professional, high tempo environment. I am determinedhard-working and confident with strong communication and inter-personal skills. I am eager to learn and my primary goal from attending a graduate scheme is to acquire first-hand experience from a well-established marketing firm. I aspire to develop skills which will assist me when I graduate and enter the marketing industry.

Through my course I have developed analytical and problem solving skills, gained the capability to manage and organise resources, make decisions, meet challenges and overcome obstacles. I have learned to work independently and with efficient time management to meet deadlines under pressure. I have contributed to various group projects where I learned to effectively communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions to peers and teachers by oral, written and visual means to a professional standard.

Part time barista in a busy coffee shop with a team of more than 20 people where I have learned to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a team. I have gained excellent customer service by being professional, enthusiastic, friendly and maintaining a positive attitude at work. Whilst working here, I have gained the ability to work in a diverse team, achieve targets, improve organisational skills and to prioritise effectively. I have undertaken jobs above my station, such as training, opening and closing the shop, in an attempt to learn more about running the business. Developed effective time management and customer service skills, as well as attention to detail and multitasking. Currently one of the top employees holding one of the highest amount of positive acknowledgements for excellent work, in charge of several tasks such as training, cashiering, assignment tasks to employees and dealing with requests from customers.

Receptionist Assistant

Receptionist assistant during the summer with duties of filing paperwork, raising invoices and taking in payments from customers. Again, I undertook tasks beyond my station, such as stock control and ordering. Through this I gained IT skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as attention to detail, checking for accuracy, anticipate problems and preventing them before they arise.


  • Language Café Volunteer - I have used my patience, tolerance and creativity as well as my strong communication and organisational skills in order to help University of Sussex students develop their Spanish language skills. 
  • Leader of High School’s Social Programme - Responsible for various duties, including organizing a large sale of donated second-hand goods, writing reports, and developing a communication campaign designed to educate parents from a low income community. Developed leadership, teamwork, investigative and communication skills. Coordinating events, planning agendas, organising people and work, preparing charts and diagrams, promoting events, raising funds.
  • Teacher Volunteer – In charge of a group of 15 low-income children, helping them with their homework after school; supporting them throughout primary school in any subject they had difficulties with. Gained problem-solving skills, adaptability and work ethic. Due to scarce resources creativity, good planning and patience were key.





First language


  • Twice elected as class president. Represented students and attended weekly meetings of the student council with the school principal. Encouraged a friendly environment within the students and was awarded a diploma for the best class president. Learned how to properly become the voice of a group of people.

  • Ran for school president with a strong manifesto focused on supporting the school’s social programme and bringing students closer to school officials. The campaign was designed to draw the attention of both students and teachers using different approaches. Had to present information to large and small groups, listen and answer questions, express myself confidently and participate in group discussions. Gained skills such as persuasion, self-confidence and communication skills.
