Became a Bosch executive as part of the acquisition of the LR Nelson Corporation. Focused on utilizing my extensive systems and business experience to implement tools, processes and procedures.  Key member on the Bosch integration team for the merger of the Nelson and Sunterra divisions into the Robert Bosch systems and networks. 

Selected accomplishments:

  • Defined and implemented a system and process to review product innovation. 
  • Developed system and process to analyze and monitor the go live process for new products.
  • Led the implementation of SAP APO for sales forecasting. 
  • Working with the marketing team to develop a plan for utilizing MS Tag and QR Codes to improve communication at trade shows and in the retailers at point of purchase. 
  • Implemented CIP / Lean Office in the business unit. 
  • Rolled out SAP Business Warehouse reporting into the business unit.
  • Business lead for the successful migration of Nelson's legacy ERP and the Gilmour systems SAP R/3 systems into the primary Bosch Tools SAP system.

  • Migration from 5 disconnected phone systems across 3 countries to one integrated VoIP based phone system.

  • Implementation of internal customer training and IT cross training sessions.

  • Implemented an open-source help-desk application for change, project and issue management which handled over 35,000 tickets during the first year and 150,000 in the second year.

  • In house development utilizing JAD and RAD to extend Oracle Applications in the areas of CRM, HR, and Web store processes to match business goals utilizing PERL, JAVA, PHP, C and PL/SQL.

  • Implementation of web based reporting tools, including Crystal Reports, for use with Oracle applications and used to link that data with legacy information stored in MySQL and filemaker.

  • Integration of Oracle applications business suite with a Web Store developed in house. Including credit cards processing, the passing of sales to value added resellers, and binary downloads while handling multiple countries and currencies.

  • Research, designed, and migrated to a large server room from a small data closet.

  • Standardization of servers, laptops and desktops to help reduce unit cost, while supporting three major OS platforms (Windows, Linux and Macintosh)

  • Utilization of video and audio conferencing technologies, including WebEx, Macromedia Breeze, and Polycom H.323 video conferencing equipment, to increase and improve interactions with remote workers, current and potential customers as well as reducing travel costs.

  • Integration of a co-location hosting model for application downloads via a web store, while maintaining all other web service locally to the Wolfram Research data center.

  • Merging of Windows Active Directory and OpenLDAP to create a cross platform centralized authentication system.

  • Developed, designed, implemented and supported cross platform enterprise systems management worldwide, utilizing Tivoli and integrated it with 3rd party vendors and systems, including MS SQL, Oracle, Cognos, Comdisco’s CLASS and vendor tools.
  • Worked on development and implementation of ITIL processes and architecture for availability, problem, change, and performance management, as well as contingency planning, help desk, and software control and distribution.
