Summary

In her most recent position as a dedicated educator, Colleen Connolly spent three years as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in the Spring Independent School District of Houston, Texas. From this role, Ms. Connolly created and implemented lesson plans, instructing students according to state guidelines. Additionally, Colleen Connolly served on many educational committees and functioned as an LPAC (Language Proficiency Assessment Committee) and Title 1 representative. Before joining the Spring Independent School District, Ms. Connolly served as a Kindergarten teacher in Houston’s Cy-Fair Independent School District. Prior to launching her career, Colleen Connolly earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University, where she achieved recognition on the dean’s list and was a member of an Honor society. Following this, Ms. Connolly completed her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Education, and Human Development at Texas A&M University. She was included on the dean’s list each year at this institution as well. She was also named on A&M’s list of its finest scholars. By the time she graduated, Ms. Connolly held certification to teach Elementary and Physical education as well as certification to teach English as a Second Language. Out of a dedication to helping those in need, Ms. Connolly participates in the program Self-Improvement through Riding Education (SIRE), which assists people who are disabled with their rehabilitation through horseback riding. She also supports Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Toys for Tots, and a number of shelters for women who are victims of abuse. In her spare time, Ms. Connolly enjoys keeping physically fit. She holds certification as a Personal Trainer and is invested in the fight against childhood obesity. Ms. Connolly provides her training services to women who are pregnant or have just given birth.
