I'm currently working within the Data Science & Analytics department at GoEuro as a business analyst. I provide analysis and reporting for almost all areas of the business - leadership, product, commercial, marketing, engineering and others. My day-to-day could involve creating elaborate self-service Tableau dashboards, working on long-term analysis for new strategic initiatives, creating custom ETLs to wrangle data from external sources into Redshift, or working on ad-hoc analyses on the fly.

I worked as a Web Analytics Intern at smava in Berlin. I worked with various digital analytics tools to measure, analyse and optimise the company's online performance. Also performing analyses or building reports and dashboards based on large data sets to support all areas of the business. Main tools used are PostgreSQL, Tableau, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Kissmetrics.

Business Intelligence Intern


worked as an intern on the SAP OEM team in Dublin. My main tasks revolved around building out a database of partner contracts to improve financial forecasting. I worked closely with the financials team based in the USA to determine gaps in organisational knowledge and how to close those gaps using reporting and analytics. Main tools used were MS Excel and MS Access.

Two year postgraduate course. Year 1 was an intensive course of getting to grips with programming and software design principles. Year 2 was an analysis-focused masters revolving around using machine learning on a natural language processing problem  - "The Effects of Context and Common Ground on Sarcasm Detection in Social Media Data". I achieved a 2:1 grade overall.

Business degree at one of Ireland's top universities. Over the course of my time at UCD I studied a wide range of modules relating to business strategy, management, marketing and information management. I achieved a 2:1 grade overall.
