Calm Demeanor

While working in a high paced, busy environment I needed to stay calm in the event of an accident. When dealing with rude customers I find it best to be polite and respectful in an attempt to solve the situation.

Working in a customer service field I found it is important to listen in order to fully understand a situation or task. I pride myself in my listening skills. By chance I miss some information I am not afraid to ask to have it repeated.

Critical Thinking

In my line of work, I need to think on my feet and act fast if someone gets hurt. I must have confidence, know the proper procedures, and how to handle staff, public, and the victim if a situation occurs.

I have adapted to many tasks while working as a lifeguard. I must talk with patrons, delegate staff tasks, watch swimmers, teach swim lessons, work with mechanical pumps, handle money, and clean the facility. I am able to adapt to new towns, cities or provinces.

Time Management

As a person who dislikes being late, I make it a point to manage my time effectively and arrive with time to spare. When working on projects, I find it best to start right away.

I have used teamwork in family, relationship and sports team settings throughout my life. I enjoy new teammates to put in a solid effort to get the task at hand completed.
