Responsibilities included:

  • Traffic control inspections to ensure public safety.
  • Auditing the US 36 expansion project to ensure compliance with as-builts and CDOT specifications in order to provide QC for CDOT.
  • Verifying that all QA and Materials reports were properly submitted to prevent legal/financial consequences.
  • Designing and drawing a detour following CDOT specifications.
  • Designing a file management system to store Region 1 Engineering's plan sets.
  • Misc. administrative tasks (e.g. verifying fuel logs, moving vehicles, etc.).
  • Learning the skills necessary to work at CDOT (e.g. Microstation, understanding plan sets and summary and quantity reports (SAQs), administrative tasks, etc.).
