  • Responsible for all phases of recruiting and hiring of 'cleared' personnel,  in a manner compliant with requirements for federal government contractors, in support of contracts in the information technology services sector for the Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Veterans Administration, USDA, ATF, U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, & Marines, for DoD contractor headquartered in Orlando, FL.

Business Unit Manager, Central Florida

IntelliMark IT was StaffMark’s Technology staffing, training, and consulting division, with more than 43 branches throughout the United States, as well as operations in Europe, Africa, & Asia. StaffMark acquired Career Concepts in 1998 and later merged with TechniSource and subsequently Randstad.

  • Was responsible for all aspects of operation of the largest of 43 branches of IntelliMark IT division, included a recruiting and business development staff of 45 individuals, which focused on permanent as well as temporary staffing for the SAP/IT field. On average, the branch placed 300+ people annually on direct hire assignments, and had an average of 185 technology consultants at a variety of customer sites nationwide. Full P&L responsibility for the Florida Branch, including developing annual budget.
  • Completed the due diligence, documentation and audit, of StaffMark’s acquisition of Career Concepts of Florida, as well as the subsequent integration into IntelliMark, IT division.
  • Was responsible for integrating branch into IntelliMark’s systems and procedures, including ATS, payroll, benefits, etc..
  • Developed new standardized recruiter/account executive compensation plan, which was introduced nationwide for IntelliMark.

Spectrum Technologies (PowerCerv)


Director of Recruiting, PowerStaff Division

PowerCerv specialized in client/server software development for the manufacturing industry. Additionally, the company focused on software implementation, and had approximately 400 IT consultants at customer sites throughout the nation.

  • Was responsible for the development and implementation of PowerStaff Personnel Consultants, a wholly owned subsidiary of Spectrum Technology, whose primary charter was to recruit PowerBuilder IT developers/consultants internally for PowerCerv, as well as some of their clients.
  • Was directly responsible for the nationwide recruitment of candidates for positions including consultants, instructors, software engineers, district technical managers, and sales managers. During the period from 1994-1996 helped PowerCerv grow from a staff of 80 to more than 350 employees.
  • Developed and implemented business plan, as well as all hiring policies and procedures, including all contracts, brochures, applications, questionnaires and other business documents.

Technical Recruiter

Career Concepts, specialized in contingency & retained, permanent/direct-hire as well as temporary staff augmentation for the AS/400 RPG & client/server IT field. CCI was located in Winter Park Florida, and had offices in Boston and Hartford.

  • Established new sub-discipline with the I/T group encompassing Client/Server and RDBMS technology.
  • Was responsible for recruiting, interviewing, negotiating salary requirements, and hiring for client companies, as well as responsibilities for continuous business development, and meeting monthly sales quotas.
  • Successfully placed 17 candidates within 8 months of starting which resulted in revenue of more than $175,000 in billing, before being recruited by one of the key clients, PowerCerv, to start a new staffing division for them.
