Summary

A graduate of the University of Alabama, Clay Keith majored in public relations and marketing and also studied abroad in Europe during his time at the school. A member of the prestigious Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity, Mr. Keith maintains a wide network of connections around Alabama. Since finishing his education, Clay Keith has served in a variety of capacities at companies around the area specializing in film, music, entertainment, and marketing.

Clay Keith continued his work in entertainment by joining Clear Channel Entertainment at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Birmingham. During this time, while serving as Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator, he located candidates for sponsorship and performed promoter duties for a wide range of concerts and other musical events. With a strong interest in film, Clay Keith drew on his experience and education in public relations and marketing while acting as Vice President of Development and Line Producer at Remy Productions in Birmingham, where he oversaw many stages of the production of 35mm films. From pre-production and planning to post-production and marketing, Clay Keith assisted with every phase of filmmaking during his time at Remy Productions. On a volunteer basis, Clay Keith also supported the mission of the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in Birmingham. The festival is run by a non-profit organization whose goal is to foster independent films and filmmakers from around the state. He served as a public relations and marketing assistant, helping for two years to handle efforts related to advertising, sales, venue coordination, and volunteer organization. He also belonged to the Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers.   For his efforts, Clay Keith was named as an honorary Ambassador to the Cannes Film Festival in 2001 and has attended the prestigious festival several times over the last decade. Clay Keith directed a historic 3 hour concert film which took place at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois on Halloween night in 2011. A review of the film can be read at www.honesttune.com, a independent music magazine. He also recently just wrapped production on a 6 night acoustic concert film project that took place over 2 weeks in Atlanta and Denver that have been released as DVD's and through Apple TV and iTunes. The filmmaker chose to archive this historic performance using RED Digital Cinema cameras, the same ones used for major motion picture releases. The cameras captured the performances in rich 4K resolution, providing the viewer with superior picture quality to 35mm.  Specific lenses were chosen to best convey the artistic nature of the material.  To achieve the true live concert sound, the audio was digitally recorded with a stereo mix combining the front of house mixing console with microphones strategically placed throughout the room.Clay Keith supports Hands Across the Sand, The Trust for Public Land, Rain Forest Alliance, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, visiting museums, running, sailing, and attending concerts. A seasoned traveler, he has visited cities throughout the United States, Europe, North Africa, and Central America. You can usually find Clay at a local farmer's market on a given Saturday morning because that is where the good stuff is.
