I'm a highly motivated, freelance writer and editor with more than 20 years' experience in website, magazine, book and digital publishing, managing a range of projects. I am fortunate to enjoy a wide variety of assignments – many of which run concurrently, so I am skilled at multi-tasking.

Books and academic research:

Working to a very tight schedule, I worked closely with Zita West, a well-known fertility and pregnancy expert on a new 240,000 word book Zita West: Your Pregnancy Companion and have written this 385 page illustrated guide published by Vermilion.  I am also currently copy editing a manuscript for an academic author based at King's College, London to be published by OUP, and carrying out research for another book by a Professor of Sociology who is based in the US.

Other editorial work and iPad apps:

I have also regularly project managed and edited books for Dorling Kindersley Publishing (DK) and work on development projects as well as iPad apps.

I also proofread art and design books for Laurence King Publishing (LKP),  and work on promotional material (both in digital and print form) for several property companies.

Voluntary work:

I am currently on sabbatical from my voluntary work as the Press/Publicity Officer for the Kent division of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) for five years I  generated  publicity, writing articles for the national website, magazines and newspapers as well as making live broadcasts on BBC Radio Kent

Between November 2011 and February 2012 I taught my own 10-week part-time evening course to adults on the History of Art & Architecture 1650–1939 and following requests for more have begun writing a second one.
