Work experience

Oct 2009Present

TCF Bank

At TCF I am sales supervisor. As a sales supervisor I have a set monthly goal for 5 different categories. I am responsible for coaching my team and working with them on my shifts to ensure that the daily expectations are met.

I have had time to build my customer service skills, and I have also developed a higher confidence when speaking to customers. I learned how to speak to customers to uncover their specific needs and therefore give them products that best fit their particular lifestyles.

Team Member

While employed at Target I was responsible for the preparation of food, and the cleanliness of a department. I had to be done with a certain number of tasks by the end of my shift.  I learned how to manage my time wisely in order to make the most of my shift.

I was able to expand my training beyond the food service area. While at target, cash handling was extremely important. I had to successfully complete transactions on a daily basis. I worked the cash register in my own department as well as on the check lanes in the store.

I also learned how to work in the guest service desk. I learned how to work with many different people and solve their problems.

I am seeking a position in which I can utilize my acquired skills and further expand them.

I would like to build on my customer service abilities, as well as my ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Customer Service
Having worked in retail for almost 6 years I have had to deal with many customers. I have found different way to handle different situations and attitudes. Although retail is never easy, I am fully capable of giving great customer service to all customers regardless of the situation. Over the years I have learned to leave my personal feelings out of all situations and look at everything objectively.
Cash handling
At TCF I handle cash throughout the majority of my day. At the end of my shift I am responsible for balancing my cash drawer.
