Four years of studying abroad in the U.S. and Australia have built my outstanding observing and learning skills. With a natural passion for investments and numbers, an analytical mind, strong communication skills, excellent public speaking and writing skills in both Chinese and English, and endless enthusiasm, I am seeking for a professional opportunity in business Marketing and Finance.
As a Pre-Commerce student at the University of Virginia, I am exceled in various Commerce and Economics courses and desire to further explore the fields of accounts and finance. As a project leader for the Student In Free Enterprise team at the University of Virginia, I am in charge of a nine-member team, and have developed highly valued presentation, leadership and teamwork skills, and mature interpersonal skills. As a member of McIntire Investment Institute, I have acquired much knowledge about investing, bonds, and the stock market as well as effective researching skills. My involvement in marketing committee of the University Program Council has shaped my strong event planning and organizing abilities; my responsibilities include budget planning and calculation, professional project report writing, communicating with various student organizations and sponsors, and marketing strategies designing and analyzing.
I have developed professional writing and interviewing skills from being a Sport column writer for my high school’s newspaper, The Navigator. In 2008, I also published and actively involved in the digital design process of my own animation magazine, Carol, among Chinese high school students. I am hopeful that my writing skills will be applied in writing proposals and analyses for case studies. Moreover, as the first international student ambassador in my high school as well as ambassador of Global Student Council at the University of Virginia, I always aim to promote the diversity of student body, and bring more inspiration and creative sparks.
