• Led the conversion of the firm’s docketing (professional calendar) system. This is the single most important application in a law firm, and all other major applications tie-in to it. Worked with the vendor’s staff to plan and implement application customizations and heavy modifications to the firm’s existing custom document management system. • Led the conversion of the firm’s file tracking system to a SQL-based system. This is the second most important application to this law firm. • Developed departmental policies and procedures manuals, improved intra- and inter-departmental communications. • Directed completion of the firm’s disaster recovery implementation. • Led development and implementation of monitoring, alerting, and reporting programs to provide insight into system resource availability and usage, e-mail turn-around times, database sizes, trouble spots inside specialized applications. • Replaced aging email components and lowered the load servers, leading to better performance, timely email delivery, and increased tracking and reliability. • Expanded the firm’s litigation department storage as it grew to 5 times its previous size, handling cases of as many as 2 million documents during discovery. • Restructured and upgraded staffing to better handle emergency situations
