Event Organization
One of my many strengths is my ability to work with others organizing and preparing for events. These events included the following: 2007 Oregon National Guard Soldier Enhancement Day The ONG event was attended by over 800 veterans and their families and more than 60 employers and 20 service organizations. National Guard officials from as far as Georgia came to observe and possibly replicate what we were able to provide elsewhere. A representative from one agency called me "the glue that held the event together." 2010 Oregon National Guard Yellow Ribbon Career and Benefit Fair This ONG event was attended by over 3,100 veterans and their families. There were 104 employers and 106 service/education/benefit providers in attendance. The event received a wide range of marketing and was endorsed by Senator Ron Wyden and Senator Martha Schrader. Oregon Employment & Training Association (OETA) Criminal History Issues Road Show.  At the OETA event 89 students received .6 CEUs earning the college 1.05 in reimbursable FTE. 2010 CSSA Student Success & Retention Conference This two-day conference was attended by 263 educators from 32 different institutions. Over 30 different presentations offered.   Duties related to these events include, but were not limited to: Collaboration with multiple departments, private companies/organizations, educational institutions, and community agencies Organizing and tracking employer and service organizations registrations Compiling and sending daily email updates to various agencies and individuals Confirming registration and additional information with employers from across the region Arranging for and reserving rooms and providing for catering, electrical and electronic needs Collaborating with organizers to arrange for proper information gathering to collect FTE Following up with attendees to verify and gather information missing from registration forms to create and distribute CEU certificates Designing schematics for event layout and coordinating setup Sending and recording invoices and payments received for registration fees Purchasing supplies and assembling packets of materials Creating marketing materials Designing and creating event web sites for information dissemination
Grant Work
I have been responsible for assisting in keeping records and tracking the financial aspects of 12 grants totaling in excess of $1,000,000.
