Christopher J. Sise, who recently became Senior Admissions Assistant for an independent school in the City of New York, works together with the director of admissions regarding incoming student affairs. Tending to both parents and students, Christopher J. Sise is highly involved in all aspects of admissions.

When parents of children wishing to attend the independent school visit, Christopher J. Sise escorts them on a school campus tour. He also answers any questions parents may have regarding applications or any aspect of the admissions process. Once a family wishes to apply to the independent School, Christopher J. Sise is responsible for entering the information into a database and distributing the proper application.

Once an application is submitted, Christopher J. Sise processes the information and manages requests for financial aid. After a decision has been made on the applicant, Sise composes all acceptance, waiting list, or regret letters. Once a student has been admitted, Christopher J. Sise prepares a welcome packet and enters the new student file into the database.

Prior to working on the administrative side of the independent School, Christopher J. Sise spent nearly six years in the classroom there as an assistant teacher. In addition to developing curriculum plans for students, Christopher J. Sise composed numerous reports for the Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) and supervised parent-teacher conferences.

Throughout the past 20 years, Christopher J. Sise has amassed a wide variety of experience with children and students, including his work with Trinity Day Camp for 14 years. He also served as a Program Design Assistant for the Nurturing World Child Care Center and as a Teaching Assistant at the Bernice M. Wright Child Development Laboratory School. Christopher J. Sise is affiliated with The Association of Teachers in Independent Schools in New York City and Vicinity, Cassidy’s Place, and the Association to Benefit Children, as well.
