About Christopher Dabney

A U.S. military veteran, Christopher Dabney is an undergraduate at the University of Florida working toward a bachelor of science in finance. His courses range from fixed income and equities, to financial and managerial accounting. In the summer of 2015, Christopher Dabney completed one of several business-focused internships he has undertaken while in college. He served as a credit analyst with Ameris Bank in Florida, where he performed cash flow and debt service analysis and helped the firm evaluate clients’ creditworthiness.

Mr. Dabney was a member of the United States Marine Corps 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines based out of Camp Pendleton, California, from 2008 to 2012. As an infantry team leader and rifleman, he guided soldiers in operations spanning locales such as Afghanistan, Yemen, and East Timor. Responsible for the well-being of a team of up to 10 Marines, he undertook data and intelligence analysis that enabled effective operational planning before leading his Marines in combat operations. Christopher Dabney was also tasked with coordinating activities with NATO military forces and local militias as a way of building positive relations and enabling operations to go forward smoothly.
