An expert in the process development of systems engineering, Christopher Bearden also possesses knowledge and skill in program and resource management, technology assessments, acquisition planning, and risk management. Holding Top-Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with the United States Department of Defense (DOD), he specializes in such areas as: facility construction; airborne surveillance sensors; flight simulation; and security, seismic, counter-narcotic, and treaty-verification systems. As owner, Chief Systems Engineer, and Engineering Consultant at Patriot SE Consulting in Florida, Christopher Bearden offers marketing and Request for Proposal support as well as requirements engineering, particularly to assist companies in winning DOD contracts. A member of the United States Air Force for more than two decades, Christopher Bearden managed electrical engineering functions on reconnaissance aircraft, retiring as a Captain. At Science Applications International Corporation, he acted as a Division Manager and later as the Director of Systems Engineering. In the latter capacity, Mr. Bearden implemented a process utilized in deploying a $400 million seismic array that the U.S. Government adopted. The accomplished engineer also accepted positions as Manager of Systems Engineering for BAE Systems North America and as Vice President of Scientia Global, Inc.Mr. Bearden earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering/Circuit Design at the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Design at Northeastern University. He also completed Capability Maturity Model Integrated and Software Configuration Management training and a United Nations seminar on monitoring the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. An adventurer at heart, Christopher Bearden has backpacked through Europe and most of the United States, fly-fished for cutthroat trout in the Snake River in Wyoming, and snow-skied throughout New England and in the Western states. Sharing his success, he supports the ASPCA, Toys for Tots, Keep Brevard Beautiful, and the FIRST Robotics Competition.
