Christopher D. Baldwin has worked as a real estate appraiser since 1983. His extensive experience includes working in the field, managing other employees, and using technological tools to assist with appraisals. Chris Baldwin is a member in good standing of the Appraisal Institute; he has attained SRA designation and is currently an advanced candidate for MAI certification. Baldwin’s experience includes domestic and international appraisals on commercial, residential, and specialty properties. While he spent most of his career in Illinois, Chris Baldwin currently lives and works as an appraiser in Charleston, South Carolina.Over the course of his career, Chris Baldwin has worked for a variety of respected appraisal firms. As a young man, he worked for Baldwin Appraisal Service in Wilmington, Illinois, for three years as a residential appraiser. He then spent a year in Orlando, Florida, working for A.C.A.S., Inc. He gained skill as a commercial and industrial appraiser and then returned to Illinois.Chris Baldwin took a position with R. J. Schmitt and Associates in Arlington Heights, where he served as a commercial real estate appraiser. In 1990, with seven years of experience in his field, he returned to Baldwin Appraisal Service as a partner in the business. He continued to work on commercial and residential appraisals for the next 11 years.In 2001, Chris Baldwin formed his own appraisal and consulting firm, Blue Edge, Inc., in Joliet, Illinois. At Blue Edge, he performed due diligence for a variety of institutional real estate investors, including banks, real estate investment trusts, and mortgage brokers. Over the course of his career, Chris Baldwin has appraised a wide range of properties. In addition to land, residential property, and commercial property, he has also appraised specialty properties. Baldwin has been involved in the appraisal of aquariums, distilleries, quarries, and historical properties. His experience and skill allow him to complete unusual and difficult assignments in a prompt, accurate manner.
