Through my work experience I have had abundant opportunity to develop my leadership skills while working with fellow peers.  My academic experience has afforded me the opportunity to experience life both as a student and also from a teacher's perspective when I was hired as a TA.  During my last year of obtaining my associate's degree I worked in both chemistry and biology labs for an average of ten hours per week, where I gained invaluable experience.  I am looking forward to a career at UW where I will be able to continue this experience, but from a different side where I am working exclusively in the social sciences and researching from a psychology lens.
