Ensure personnel entering the installation present valid Common Access Cards (CAC), DBIDS I.D., or Visitor Pass (AF Form 75) and checks all required forms of identification. When required, takes control of personnel and vehicles entering the installation in accordance with the local installations plans, policies, and post limitations.
Deter, detect, and detain by use of necessary force, persons suspected of committing offenses such as drunk driving, improper transport of drugs, explosive materials or weapons, and trespassers or persons who illegally gain or attempt to gain access to the military installation.
Provide services for Installation Entry Control (IEC), Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVI) and Visitor Control Center (VCC), on Air Force installation. Prevent loss of materials or possesses, which are important for national defense, public health or safety, or their value as national treasures.
Conducts inspections of commercial vehicles at the designated vehicle inspection points in accordance with DoD and Air Force guidelines, and local procedures. Properly and safely utilizes various search equipment such as mirrors, hand-held explosive detectors.
Issue visitor passes at gates.
Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications and security clearances for the site.
