A member of the Farm Sanctuary and the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida, Christine Hendler is passionate about protecting animals. Among the many animal-oriented charities she supports are Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue, Castleton Ranch Horse Rescue, the Humane Society of the United States, and Habitat for Horses, Inc. Additionally, Christine Hendler has participated in Farm Sanctuary’s Walk for Farm Animals event. Christine Hendler’s desire to help those in need does not end with advocacy for animal protection. She is also an avid supporter of people in need of aid and resources. She donates to the American Indian College Fund, the Dakota Indian Foundation, and the Southwest Indian Children’s Fund to help underrepresented populations achieve their goals. Christine Hendler is also a contributor to the Wounded Warriors Family Support organization as well as the Paralyzed Veterans of America association. Professionally, Christine Hendler spent the beginning of her career performing as a professional opera singer and serving as a professor and vocal coach to students of Brigham Young University. She earned her own Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music from Northwestern University, aided by the Frederick Cramer and Laura A. Winkleman scholarships. More recently, Christine Hendler has redirected her vocational focus to nutritional management, functioning as Training Supervisor at Quick Weight Loss Centers in Plantation, Florida. Her duties include recruiting candidates and instructing incoming staff members on the company’s nutritional counseling services, as well as preparing instructional material for those employees. In her spare time, Christine Hendler partakes in a variety of creative and outdoor activities. She loves painting, sculpting, singing, and decorating, as well as swimming, gardening, and venturing into the wilderness. To wind down, she enjoys going to the spa and reading. Among her favorite authors are fantasy novelists J. K. Rowling, J. R. R. Tolkien, and C. S. Lewis.
