SAIC Iveco Commercial Vehicle Inv. - Shanghai

Appointed by the BoD of this Joint Venture (CNHI/SAIC Automotive) as General Manager. SAIC Iveco Commercial Vehicle Investment is the investing company for CNHI Group in China ($260m Equity).

CNH Industrial

Directly supervising a team of 50 employees through 9 Legal Entities and 4 JVs. CNH Industrial activities in China ($3bn Sales, $60m EBIT, 14 plants, and 14.000 employees) are one of the Group’s main strategic focuses. Serves as Board member in 3 companies.

Highlight: CNH Industrial strategy implementation in China.

  • Directly supervising all finance related activities (Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Tax).
  • Overseeing Crisis Management cell in China.
  • Legal entities set up, liquidation and turnaround.
  • Coordination of a $0.2bn investment project for a sqm200.000 new plant in Heilongjiang Province.
  • Cash pooling implementation resulting in a $2m yearly costs saving in funding expenses.
  • Successfully led negotiations for a Joint Venture liquidation (1 plant, 700 employees).
2008 - 2013

Controlling Director APAC - Lugano

CNH Industrial

Promoted to oversee controlling activities for the International Region ($3bn Revenues). Acted as trusted advisor to division’s CEO with full responsibility for P&L ($350m EBIT) and cash flow ($300m). Directly managed 11-person team in rapidly growing region with vast cultural differences. Served as Board Director in U.A.E.  Joint Venture.

Highlight: Led the 5-year strategy design, plan, and implementation.

  • Revamped underperforming Controlling department to become one of Group’s strongest performers.
  • Proactively contributed to the rapid Business turnaround during the Global Crisis (2009). Slashed SG&A costs by $10m (10%), reduced inventory by $80m (16%) and implemented new Business Models within the Region.
2006 - 2008

Controlling Director Parts  Europe - Paris

CNH Industrial

Joined Parts & Services Division with $850m in annual sales to equip senior management with financial guidance to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and initiate action plans. Oversaw team of 10 controllers in Europe. Contributed to strategy definition and directly impacted bottom-line results (+20% in 2 years).

Highlight: Reversed negative revenue trend into sustainable growth (+30% revenues).

  • Reorganized Controlling function at European level resulting in a more robust, and result-driven group.
  •   Balanced scorecards implementation in Europe, improving decision-making.
2001 - 2006

Operations Controller Senior Manager - Brussels

Danone Group 

Brought in to headquarters as Controller and spent 3 years engaging in financial planning and analysis. Subsequently became Senior Operations Controller at company’s 3rd largest factory producing 200,000 tons of Actimel yearly. Oversaw 5-person team with direct accountability for controlling in areas of purchasing, industrial, and supply chain.

Highlight: Generated $8m in reoccurring savings in 1 year.

  • Captained 10-member, cross-functional team on projects that launched 26 cost-saving initiatives ($8m).
  • Honored with appointment to Crisis Cell Management Group.
