Summary

I'm a fourth year journalism student at the University of Regina finishing up the last semester of my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. As part of my degree, I have completed two internships in two entirely different newsrooms. I spent the winter of 2011 doing broadcast work at Global News in Calgary, and switched gears in the summer to hold a print position with the The World-Spectator in Moosomin, SK.

Experienced in both broadcast and print, I hope to pursue a career reporting in either or both categories. I have considerable experience interviewing, pitching daily story ideas, writing and reporting news and doing it all under the pressure of a deadline. Well-versed in social media as well as video production and editing, I can bring a strong multimedia base to a newsroom. I have a vested interest in journalism, good communication skills and experience developing daily and breaking news stories.
