I am a rare combination of a finance professional and software developer. I have over ten years’ experience in corporate and commercial lending and risk analysis at Canada’s top banks. Today I am a software engineer working on a team building 3D data modeling applications. How did I get here? Recognizing that technology was eroding traditional banking roles, in 2015 I left banking with the goal of becoming a developer. To gain the development skills I needed I attended a coding bootcamp. Since completing my coding education I have worked as a UX developer for an international digital payments company and as a software engineer at a global company producing visual data science software and technologies. I have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including professional presentation skills with the ability to translate technical matters to non-technical audiences in a clear and understandable manner. My goal is to transition back into banking into a role where I can combine my technical skillset with my passion for corporate finance.
I have knowledge of and experience with:
- Finance: credit risk research & modeling, commercial credit portfolio management, corporate lending, cash flow modeling, asset based loans, valuations, real estate and operating loans.
