Summary

Chris Ibbetson was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, a town, just outside a Philadelphia on November 7th, 1985. Chris was raised in a small suburb, also outside of Philadelphia, called Prospect Park. During that Chris graduated from Norwood Elementary School and Interboro Senior High School, (Home Of The Bucs). While in high school, Chris interested himself in many extra-curricular activities. Such as Cross-Country, Track & Field, Drama, Student Council, Choir, Select-Choir, I-Buc Radio and Television Studio. In September 2004, Chris and his parents (George and Sharon) left the small town of Prospect Park and moved to Fort Myers, Florida. While living in Fort Myers, Chris became very interested in media. Chris was so interested in this that he wanted to become a Newscaster, because of this and with the help of his late grandfather (Richard), Chris landed an internship with Germain Arena and a Professional hockey team called the "Florida Everblades", Chris' job was to taped all of the teams home games. During this internship Chris learned a lot of media experience and met a lot of interesting people in the media business, but Chris felt that there was something missing in his life. In March 2005, Chris Joined the United States Army as an Infantryman Trainee and was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia for Basic Training. In June 2005, then Private Chris Ibbetson graduated from the Infantry Training Brigade as an 11C, Indirect-Fire Infantryman. In August 2005, then Private Ibbetson reported to Fort Carson, Colorado. He was then later assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, where he would remain for his entire military career. In November 2005, then Private 2nd Class Ibbetson and his unit deployed to Balad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in Iraq then Private 2nd Class Ibbetson was promoted to the rank of Private First Class. In October 2006 then Private First Class and his unit redeployed back to Fort Carson, Colorado. Shortly after, then Private First Class Ibbetson was promoted to the rank of Specialist. In November 2007, then Specialist Ibbetson and his unit was deployed once again in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, but this time it was to Mosul, Iraq. After his second tour, then Specialist Ibbetson and his unit was sent back to Fort Carson in January 2009. In November 2009 then-Specialist Ibbetson's superiors thought that it was time for him to become a Non-Commissioned Officer. In January 2010, then Specialist Ibbetson was sent to the promotion board, he passed. In March 2010, then Specialist-Promotable Ibbetson was sent for the third and final time to Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn. This time it was in Amarah, Iraq. In June 2010, then Specialist-Promotable was finally promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In September 2010 Sergeant Ibbetson was redeployed back to Fort Carson, Colorado. Shortly after, Chris started attending Pikes Peak Community College to become an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic. In March 2011, Chris finally married his soul mate of many years, Vonna. In April 2011, Sergent Ibbetson was discharged from the United States Army. In May 2011, Chris graduated from EMT-Basic school and is currently a Nationally Registered EMT and a Colorado State Licensed EMT-IV.
