6 years formal training experience for corporate customers and I now use these skills on a weekly basis in my current position. Presented our group's ICT strategy for our suppliers as part of a Supplier Innovation Day.
Technical Engineering
As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE, 12736) I lead and mentor the professional services delivery team and pre-sales solutions architecture team for s2s and Bailey Teswaine.
In 1999 as a technical trainer delivering Microsoft courses for Dimension Data in South Africa I set a few professional goals: Move to the UK Start training Cisco courses, while still training Microsoft courses Start Cisco consulting Become a Technical Director I immigrated to the UK in 1999 joining Wave Technologies as a senior technical trainer. I immediately started studying Cisco and delivered my first Cisco course 3 months later. A lot of my success in business comes from my ability to present complex subject matter in a simple manner, which is a direct result of my training background.   I left Wave Technologies to start my own Cisco consultancy 3 years later. I run this business with 2 colleagues until we were acquired by s2s in 2004. We joined s2s as 45% shareholders and I was appointed as their Technical Director.   At this point I re-assessed my goals and set the following: Sell s2s Become a CIO or start a new business I helped grow the company from £2.2M turnover to over £5.3M by the time we sold the company in 2007. We achieved 3 vendor awards from Cisco and placed 89th in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for fastest growing IT companies in the UK in 2007, and 26th in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 for fastest growing companies (all sectors) in the UK in the same year.   As a director I contribute to strategy at board meetings and as a manager I implement the tactical plan to help deliver that strategy.

Bailey Teswaine acquired s2s in December 2007. Appointed as their Solutions Design Director to shape and drive the solutions that support the NG Bailey group strategy. Is part of the Operations Management Team for Bailey Teswaine to drive and manage customer operational processes. Also part of the Technical Forum for the Managed Services division for the NG Bailey Group to drive innovative information technology strategy internally and for customers. Actively engaged as an executive sponsor and technical authority for cross divisional bids and tenders.

The management of the professional services delivery team was successfully handed over to the team leader in their new role as Head of Professional Services, who still reports to me. Now focuses on leading the enterprise solutions architecture team, shaping our solutions strategy in line with the group's vision.

Managed and built the professional services team, mentoring a team leader as part of the succession planning.
