Providing a wide array of services to our nations veterans. Ensuring the timely processing of veterans claims by ensuring the veteran is advised of their rights and responsibilities. Government automated databases are accessed on a daily basis to help adjudicate veterans disability compensation claims. Microsoft Office used on a daily basis with emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook. Responsible for the knowledge of government rules and regulations as well as the laws set forth by congress that govern how the law is applied to our nations veterans. Corresponding with veterans and other government agencies is accomplished on a daily basis through letter, fax, phone and e-mail. Excellent customer service and writing skills developed by dealing with the public and other government agencies on a daily basis. Multi tasking and time management are a big part of the success of this position. Interpreting medical diagnosis and terms is a key skill used in this position. Responsibilities include interpreting various rules and regulations with regard to disability claims, dependency information and pension claims. Responsible for processing over 90 claims on a monthly basis, ensuring our nations veterans are getting the benefits they are entitled to.

Chris Anaya resides in Vermont, where he serves as a business owner, professor, and Veterans Service Representative. He attended Saint Leo University, where studied business administration and computer information systems. In addition, Chris Anaya is a veteran of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. He spent eight years in the Army, two in the Navy, and three in the Air Force. 

As a Veterans Service Representative, Chris Anaya informs veterans of their rights and responsibilities in the claims process. In this position, Mr. Anaya accesses government databases to assist in the adjudication of compensation and disability claims. In order to be successful, he must stay current with governmental regulations and legislative developments as they apply to U.S. veterans. The position also calls for strong customer service, time management, and multi-tasking skills. Overall, he is responsible for 90 claims each month. 

Chris Anaya’s experience also includes a two-year tenure as a Service Representative for the Social Security Administration in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this position, he came in contact with more than 20,000 customers, claimants, and beneficiaries. Mr. Anaya’s military experience proved useful, given the large number of veterans seeking assistance in one form or another from the Social Security Administration.  

As a Veterans Service Representative, Chris Anaya gained an understanding of medical diagnoses and terms, enabling him to advocate on behalf of his customers to ensure they received the benefits they were legally entitled to receive.  

During his eight-year term in the U.S. Army, Chris Anaya gained valuable experience as an Administrative Specialist, level E-5. The diverse position required Mr. Anaya to supervise up to 50 people while providing sufficient motivation to ensure they accomplished their mission. He also served as Senior Legal Assistant for his battalion.
