Volunteer Work

Silver Surfer's Teacher

I developed and implemented one-to-one computer sessions, as a side role to my job as a Library Assistant. My proficiency in computers enabled me to run once a week sessions to teach people the basics or enhance their skill set. I created simple instruction packs that they could take home with them, and these packs were eventually rolled out across most of the 52 other libraries within my county. As part of this volunteer work, I successfully executed a ‘Silver Surfers Week’ of computer sessions across two libraries, to glowing reviews.
