SUMMARY

I built a telescope when I was 7. Not because I liked tinkering, but because I needed to see the stars and my parents didn't have the budget for a real telescope. Curiosity, determination, and a refusal to be intimidated by big challenges have always described my approach to life. Today I enjoy applying these characteristics to the challenges that businesses face.

I am extremely curious, highly motivated and dedicated to the success of every task I take on. Recently I have learnt to grow and nurture my leadership skills. Thinking creatively to resolve problems is no longer the exception but the norm for me . Being a social creature with excellent interpersonal skills, I work best in a team, however, I maintain the discipline to work on my own when required.

Overall, I am an ambitious individual who is constantly pursuing success, be it professional or personal. My entrepreneurial drive and sense of humor is what keeps me going.

May 2019, Ovations appointed a new Sales Executive. As part of a revised sales strategy, I agreed to transition to an account management role with the sole focus of managing the Ovations key accounts. Combined, these accounts represented more than half of the company's revenue. This role allows me to leverage my relationship management competencies, which I thoroughly enjoy. Some of my activities include opportunity identification and management , stakeholder management, account billing  and operations, and maintaining brand awareness in the accounts. 

Highlight: Building relationships with key stakeholders in the banking and telecommunications sectors.

In early 2017 , amidst trying economic circumstances for the business, I stepped up to new challenges at Ovations. In addition to sales activities, I jumped at the opportunity to immerse myself in strategic marketing activities in an effort to maintain and drive up net new revenue. Some of my tasks included sales operations such as pipeline and activity management and marketing  strategy and execution through a combination of digital, print, and key events.

  • Implementation of an integrated sales and marketing CRM platform. 
  • 'Digital Transformation Made Human' re-branding (through this work, I was asked to present at well-known presentation training company, Missing Link's 'Smart Mofo' event).
