Practice Manager

Yorkville Toronto Dental Specialists

Working closely with the owner and doctors of the practice to develop and implement business strategies, formulate budgets and oversee daily operations. When hired it was my responsibility to reform and reorganize the runnings of the practice; despite numerous changes I was able to pragmatically show that new methods work toward efficiency, receive the trust of my team, and expand the business. Initiating new projects and events to aid in creating and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and patients to support a collaborative approach to dentistry, generate positive publicity and increase satisfaction. 

2010 - 2012

Treatment Coordinator

Yorkville Toronto Dental Specialists

Spending time getting to know the patients and learning about their specific dental needs and goals, supporting the patient throughout the process and welcoming new patients. Working with the dentist to conduct diagnostic tests and organize a comprehensive treatment plan. Presenting and explaining the treatment plan, scheduling of procedures, discuss financial options and available to answer any questions.

Dispensary Staff

Responsible for completing activities in connection with the preparation and supply of sundries and equipment to students. Carried out customer service duties, such as answering enquiries and advising students on appropriate products for use.

As the first contact person within the practice it was my responsibility to convey a sense of trust, warmth and professionalism to a potential lifelong patient. Ensuring that patients receive the care they need and understand their dental condition, insurance and financial obligations. Other important aspects of my role included tracking marketing initiatives, reaching targeted number of new patients and designing new marketing campaigns.

2007 - 2008

Peer Leader

Smoke Free Ontario, Middlesex London Health Unit

As part of the Smoke Free Ontario act, Peer Leaders created presentations, different media advertisements,  planned and implemented youth run and youth-led initiatives and special events designed to counteract the tobacco industries advertisements and to prevent youth from starting to use tobacco products. While working as a Peer Leader I conducted media interviews, created and ran presentations, found new community partners for the group, along with participating in conferences, and special events.

Working as part of an interdisciplinary health care team, dental technologists play an important role in the practice of dentistry. Focusing on critical thinking to design, fabricate, and alter a dental prosthesis, restorative or orthodontic device as prescribed by a regulated dental practitioner.

A dense program to develop technical knowledge and clinical experience in order to promote oral health by direct client care and dental education.  infection control, safety protocols, and management of client records. 




Vision, strategic thinking and risk management have helped me lead and gain respect from my teams; overcoming challenges and working together to accomplish big and small victories. 


Through my three years of experience as a practice manager I have proven to be capable and efficient at dealing with demands, constantly changing priorities and a heavy work load. I practice remaining calm and thinking positively when dealing with challenges like organizational change and short deadlines. 


Enjoy building rapport and relationships with people in my daily interactions. Through my ten years of working customer service industry, my listening, communication and decision making skills have  proved to be a valuable resource and have continued to grow through difference experiences.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers

National Dental Assisting Examination Board 

Individuals that hold an NDAEB certificate have met the current national baseline standard in the knowledge and skills required by Canadian provincial or territorial regulatory authorities for recognition as an intra-oral dental assistant.

Completion of the requirements set out by the Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) Act to allow the individual to take dental x-rays as prescribed.
