About Chelsea Schuchman

With interest in a career in art, Chelsea Schuchman completed the Sotheby’s Online Certification Program, which provided her with a breadth of knowledge of the art business and museum operations. For more than two years, she worked as an ambassador at the Baker Art Museum in Naples, Florida. In this job, Chelsea Schuchman interacted with patrons and experienced exhibition transitions and other museum functions.

Ms. Schuchman’s past experience in the art world involved working at the Ace Gallery in Los Angeles as an assistant curator for an exhibition running from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, she was employed by Three Dots, a clothing company, as assistant sales representative and showroom manager.

Chelsea Schuchman’s courses at Sotheby’s included Art as a Global Business, Art History, and Writing for the Art World. Her high school education took place at an international boarding school in Switzerland, Leysin American School, which had an academic focus on history and world studies.

Ms. Schuchman enjoys travel and speaks some French. She plays tennis, skis and visits art museums in her spare time. Now living in Illinois, she supports the Hinsdale Humane Society, the Chicago Food Bank, and the local Boys and Girls Club.
