Business Administration

Floirda State University

I began school at Florida State in the Summer of 2005, right after High School Graduation.  My sister is 2 years older than me, so I had visited her multiple times throughout high school and knew it was the college for me!  I love everything about Florida State and I have had some of the best, wildest, and unforgetable memoriest ever at that school.  I'm a proud Seminole!

Super Bowl XLIII Suite/VIP Box Attendant

The Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State was asked to supply Super Bowl XLIII with willing patrons to work the Suite/VIP Sky Boxes on February 1st, 2009.  Buses were sent to Tallahassee to bring us there and back, with pay included.  It was a long journey with lots of friends, and was a once in lifetime experience.  Uniforms were provided, and the students were given random, individual VIP Boxes through a computer-generated machine throughout the Raymond James Stadium.  Once assigned a room we were to set-up and break down the 3 course meals served during the game and tend to every need of the guests.  When the game ended, and after we cleaned the buses took off back to Tallahassee.

Wine & Culture Lab Assistant

Florida State University

Wine & Culture is course offered exclusive to Hospitality students at the Dedman School of Hospitality.  I was enrolled in Fall 2008, and became the teacher's assistant for Spring 2009.  The class consists of 35 students, and 3 assistants.  I was responsible for setting up glasses, notifying students of outside tastings and projects due, getting the food platters prepared, and cleaning duties afterward. A reward for the assistants was a Spring Break 2009 trip to Napa and Sonoma Valley to tour multiple vineyards such as Korbel, Kendall Jackson, Sonoma Cutrer, Alexander Valley Vineyards, Hess, and Groth.

Counter Manager

The Loop Pizza Grill

The Loop Pizza Grill is a Fast-Casual Restaurant located on Florida State's campus outskirt.  Their menu consists of specialty pizzas, salads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps and milkshakes.  I started working at the front counter when I was a beginning sophomore, and continued till the end of my senior year.  My duties entailed greeting the guests, taking their orders, preparing food items, expediting, and getting the food out to the guests. After 2 years of counter experience I took on the role of Counter Manager, which was almost the same position but with higher authority. I was a leader for the girls at the front counter, created opening/closing check lists as well as food preparation lists, aided in scheduling conflicts, and primarily maintained the front of the house.  The Loop was a great job to have in college, I made great friends, and I enjoyed every moment of it!
