San Francisco Bay Area entrepreneur Chaz Berman earned his Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University in 1980. Through the course of his 30-plus years in business, Mr. Berman has leveraged his knowledge and experience to lead a variety of ventures in industries such as marketing, Internet technology, social media gaming, agriculture, and food and wine. Chaz Berman started his career at Willitts Designs as Vice President of Sales. Over the next seven years, Mr. Berman increased company revenues from $1.5 million to $40 million. In 1987, the business was sold to Hallmark Cards, Inc. Mr. Berman next served as President and CEO of WineWrights, a direct-marketing wine retailer in Rohnert Park, California, from 1988 to 1993. He went on to found GoodStuffs, a membership club that delivered an array of gourmet food and fine wine to its members. With extensive knowledge in business development and strategy, Chaz Berman has successfully taken numerous businesses from concept to full-fledged operations, then grew overall revenues using sophisticated marketing databases, techniques, and analytics. Among other companies, Mr. Berman founded and served as Chairman of the board for UniPrivacy, Inc., d/b/a DeleteNow, and also held a position as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales for MyPoints.com, Inc., contributing significantly to its initial public offering, one of the most successful of 1999.Chaz Berman participates in numerous community organizations and groups. He is involved with the Congregation Emanu-El and Contemporary Jewish Museum, as well as several fine arts museums in the city, the California Academy of Sciences, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Dedicated to philanthropy as well, Mr. Berman regularly donates time and resources to Northern California Lupus Foundation, United Cerebral Palsy, Drops of Hope, and the American Cancer Society. Mr. Berman also supports numerous academic institutions, including Marin Academy, Brown University, Saint Mark’s School, and his alma mater, Case Western Reserve University. Additionally, Chaz Berman supports the National Council of Jewish Women, The Cleveland Orchestra, and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
