Charles Schmid currently resides in Encinitas, California, where he takes an active role in his town by participating in various philanthropic efforts and community gatherings. One of these efforts is CERT, the City of Encinitas Community Emergency Response Team, of which Charles Schmid is a member. Through CERT, Charles Schmid hones his safety skills and disaster survival operations for use should a catastrophe strike the city. In such an instance, Charles Schmid and a team of other trained, volunteer professionals would be able to assist citizens by facilitating the provision of emergency treatments and assisting in the evacuation of the city as necessary.Charles Schmid attended the University of California, San Diego, deciding after his graduation to stay in the area to pursue career options. Today, Charles Schmid plays a crucial role in business and industry as the Chief Operating Officer for Chelsea Investment Corporation of Carlsbad, California. As a leading real estate development firm, the Chelsea Investment Corporation has worked since 1986 to provide its clients with dependable solutions in construction supervision, operations, and general project management concerns.In addition to his work with CERT and for Chelsea Investment Corporation, Charles Schmid also donates his time and resources to the Helen Woodward Animal Center, a no-kill adoption and rescue facility located in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Through the Helen Woodward Animal Center, individuals are able to reach out to and adopt animals in need, and children and adults may participate in therapeutic horse riding activities. Charles Schmid also supports the American Red Cross, one of the world’s foremost international disaster relief foundations. In his free time, Charles Schmid enjoys pursuing a number of sports in and around Encinitas, including sailing and scuba diving.
