Summary

  • Winner of numerous Franklin awards for supporting the Secretary of State and POTUS visit control rooms.
  • I Designed and implemented a paper saving system for the financial department whereby they were able to scan all bills and invoices into a on line system, making it possible to track payments and queries. This saved the US Government thousand's of dollars every year in paper cost, and the system was implemented at various US Embassies and consulates around the world. 
  • Performed the work of 3 FTEs, slashing labor expenses an estimated $50 000 annually by expanding personal responsibility to include network, and database administration
  • Attained consistent 99% up time by implementing disaster recovery and fault tolerance plans. Instituted the first highly reliable embassy-wide, centralized backup system.
  • Directed, planned and executed the roll out of Windows 7 professional to 600 workstations.
  • Directed design and installation of the complete $200 000 LAN/WAN infrastructure. Utilized state-of-the-art technologies to provide network connectivity of Windows, Data domain and Netapp servers. 
  • Reduced mobile data costs by negotiating a cheaper data plan with Vodacom South Africa, resulting in a reduction of a third of the US Embassy's mobile data costs.
  • Lead Project Manager in rolling out Windows server 2012 to over 60 servers. As a result of my planning and scheduling we managed to finish the roll-out 2 months ahead of schedule.
