This was a Church revival assignment. The Church had been planted for about 2 years but needs its presence and spiritual leadership as there was no Pastor posted to the Church. Membership drive was the major assignment. Discipleship had to establish the people and sound teaching was needed to keep the place sound and alive. A Three Months Pastoral Assignment as a Practicum
It was a village Church with a membership strength of about 150. lukewarmness was the major issue facing the church prior to my posting there. We started weekly Bible Studies for the whole church and Discipleship class for a selected few who will be able to cater for the church after I might have gone back to school. We focused on the Spiritual rebuilding of the Church (Members) which is being taught in the Church. After about a month, the disciples began taking turns in leading the services, teaching in the Bible studies and preaching on Sunday services. About half a dozen of the disciples are now trained pastors in the CMML Churches across Igala Land.
